As I said on the intro page, my name is Zach and I live in the small town of Benton in Western Kentucky with my wife and daughter. I am a jack-of-all-trades for our incredible public library, but I mainly keep the website going.
I created this site because I bought the domain through Google and Blogger was free. I was hosting a Minecraft server for friends using a Dynamic DNS, but I wanted my own personal address. So I thought I’d buy the domain. When I would join in playing Minecraft, I’d find myself constantly searching for commands and various other things I needed to enjoy the game. With that in mind, I decided to compile my own lists of things I searched for frequently into their own posts, so I could just go to my site and there they would all be.
The amount of visitors I have had to this site since I put it together is completely overwhelming. I never in a million years thought I’d have over a hundred visitors a month. So thank you, all of you, for coming.
An interesting little tidbit: I actually teach Teen Tech Classes at the Library. Over the years, I’ve acquired a lot of technology, but one of my favorites is the Raspberry Pi. I bought a few of them for teaching Scratch, and enjoyed playing with the tiny PCs so much, I bought my own. This website is hosted on my Raspberry Pi 2 (soon to be Raspberry Pi 3!). Although the traffic I get a month is overwhelming by my standards, I don’t imagine I’m going to get Google level traffic, and so far the Pi has been able to handle pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it.
Again, thank you all so much for checking out the site. If it has been of any help to you at all, I’d appreciate you leaving a comment letting me know where you are in the world.
